Everything You Wanted to Know (but may be too afraid to ask)

If you are thinking of booking a life drawing event and were wondering what happens on the day and what's included then look no further we have all the information in this article!

Booking:

First things first make sure you get your events booked in early, things tend to get booked out for the key summer months. Have some flexibility around what days you are planning the events to try and fit in everything you want.

Timing:

We can run a life drawing event at any time that works for you. We would however recommend that you don't make it too late in the day as groups tend to lose momentum after a day of activities and drinking. You want to get full value from anything you book. Our sessions range from 1.5 to 2 hours in length.

Space:

You don't need to have massive venue to accommodate a life drawing event. we have run sessions in lounges and kitchens!

You just need to make sure the space you have is big enough to allow the model to be seen by all of you group while allowing them room to comfortably sit and draw. We are also fine to run the event outdoors in the summer months (as long as it is in a private secluded location).

Group Size:

We cater for any size of group however we would always suggest that if there are more than 30 people within the group you may want to consider having 2 models to ensure everyone has a clear view of a model to draw. For Smaller groups it can mean a slightly higher cost per person taking into account location and size of group.

Drawing Equipment:

This is all taken care of and we provide artist quality drawing materials to ensure you get the best from the session. The only thing you need to take care of is seating for the group. If you include body painting or saucy sculpture as part of the package that is also taken care of.

The Model:

We only provide experienced life models for our sessions. They have gained their experience from working with formal groups and classes and have a lot of background knowledge that they will use within the session. They also know how to make it fun and light hearted.

Arrival/Setting up:

Your model will notify you of arrival to allow for it to be kept as a surprise. They will set the room up when they arrive and will ensure you get the best from the space you have. Drawing boards, pencils, paper and berets will be laid out ready for your group. Prosecco will be given to the organiser to distribute. The model will complete an introduction and will guide you through the session. They will usually wear a robe or shorts while going through this part.

Drawing experience :

It really doesn't matter if your group have not drawn before, this is all about having fun. Although we will give guidance as we go through the session there is no judgement on the work produced.

The Nudity:

Once everyone has their drawing equipment and are sitting comfortably with a glass of fizz, it's time to take the plunge and for your model to reveal all. One thing we get asked a lot is does the model get fully nude and the answer is of course .......YES!

It's surprising how quickly the group get used to it and we want you to have fun. The model will direct the poses and tell you how long you have to draw each one. They will always maximise the view for the group so nothing is hidden!

Our guys are really relaxed and friendly and are fine with having a laugh and with any cheeky jokes or requests for poses.

Drawing Games:

We will always include these in a session to act as an ice breaker and to get you working in teams. We throw in some prizes as well. We will have a chat with you about your group when you book to see if they prefer something more mainstream or a little risqué. We do usually ask the B2B if they want to join in a final pose with the model. There is no obligation for this.

Body Painting:

This can be included in a session. We allow extra time for this. You have access to paint any part of the model and you can choose your own designs.

This should just about cover most things but we are always happy to have chat and answer anything else!
