What about the nudity?

One thing that gets asked a lot when our groups book up a life drawing session is “Is it weird being nude in front of a group of people?”

The answer to that is “no”

Working as a life model you soon get used to being naked in front of people and you learn to relax into the role. As all of our models are experienced they have built up a professional approach to modelling and that relaxed approach helps our groups also feel at ease to enjoy the session.

The way our society deals with nudity is completely different from a lot of other countries who embrace naturism in saunas and when swimming. It also helps promote body positivity and let’s people see that everyone is unique and doesn’t reflect the images seen in lit magazines and websites.

When we model at sessions we always get a range of questions about nudity and it’s amazing by the end of the session how comfortable everyone is with having a naked person in the room.
