What Makes a Good Life Drawing Event?

Good question! Well actually there are a lot of components that make up a great Hen Party Event.

1. A good model. An experienced model will now how to direct the group and provide a good range of poses for all abilities to enjoy. They will also be really comfortable with their kit off as they have done it so may times. A relaxed model provides great poses!

2. Good Quality Materials. You wouldn't go to a life drawing class and be given flimsy paper and low quality pencils so why should a hen event be any different. We only use artists quality materials such as cartridge paper which is thicker and ideal for drawing. We provide drawing boards and a range of pencils of various grades. This helps even the first time artist get the best from the session.

3. The venue. Although we can take a life drawing session anywhere, the right venue for your group is essential. Whether it's an airbnb or you are having it at home just make sure you have space and seating to comfortably fit your group for all the activities planned. Nothing worse than someone being left in the corner! Obviously with life drawing a private space away from public gaze is essential.

4. Timing. This is really down to what you have planned on the day or weekend. We usually find the most popular time for life drawing is early afternoon through to early evening. A group can lose momentum by the end of the day depending on what they have been doing but we are happy to provide a session for whenever you want it.

5. A fun atmosphere. Unlike a normal life drawing class we don't take things too seriously and our models are there to make sure you all have a laugh and get the most from the session. Our group games are a fantastic ice breaker and get everyone interacting. Some Great artwork is always a bonus as well!
